Based Upon: This is an English-language remake of the 1996 French thriller, L'Appartement, which won Best Foreign film awards from both the British Academy Awards and the British Independent Film Awards. Formerly listed as The Apartment, the new title is Wicker Park.

Story: This "Hitchcockian" thriller tells the story of a young New York investment banker (Hartnett) who becomes obsessed with a woman he sees in a cafe, believing her to be his long-lost love, following her home to her apartment, where he waits for her, going so far as to put his engagement on hold. His search soon sends him down a dangerous path...

Filming: Production is scheduled to start on December 16th, 2002 at locations in Montreal and Chicago. Previous production start dates that didn't end up happening were January 4th, 2002 and October, 2002.
